In the late sixties and early seventies, there was one tv series called, MISSION : IMPOSSIBLE.  An american team of experts of seven  who were called IMPOSSIBLE MISSION FORCE ( IMF) was in action then.

This was a fantastic suspense thriller, shown week after week for seven years. This tv show attracted many, including me and made me glued to the tv set each time it was aired.

Unlike the movies where Tom Cruise has spoiled the theme 'as a one man show', the series then was of a strong bond between a few experts coming under the leadership of  Jim Phelps ( Peter Graves ).

And not only that, I started wondering how the 'face-offs' were done and the disguises were slotted in according to the scripts. Each episode was unique and on its own. The music, the suspenseful story and the plot by the leader to carry out the mission and the superb ending where the mission was accomplished in style. It was really a wonderful tv program that I enjoyed when I was young.

Still my all time favourite tv show, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE,  has given me the unique idea of creating the 'doubles', the theme of this blogspot....

Those who have not seen this before, don't worry. There are so many episodes available in 'you tube' now. See for yourself how this show was created and made everybody so crazy about it then. Im very sure you will like it too.
